Transportation

Event Location: RedGate Park (14500 Avery Road)

Parking

  • Free and ample parking is available on festival grounds.
  • Accessible parking is available in Lot P with an accessible placard or plate, and there is an access ramp to the festival from this lot.
  • Self-serve parking is available in the Taft Court numbered parking lots; the Festival entrance is located at 6 Taft Court. There is no parking at the Elks Lodge (5 Taft Court) or at 6 Taft Court.
  • Please follow event signage when accessing the event site.

Shuttle

A complementary, accessible shuttle will run from Rockville Town Center to Hometown Holidays at RedGate Park from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, and Sunday, May 26. Shuttles are operated by the Rockville Senior Center.

Shuttle Pick-up/Drop-off (Rockville Town Center)

Monroe St. between E. Montgomery Ave. and Middle Ln. in Rockville Town Center. For directions, use 255 Monroe St., Rockville, MD 20850.

Shuttle Pick-up/Drop-off (RedGate Park)

Shuttles pick up and drop off next to the accessible festival entrance in the ADA parking lot.

Shuttle Hours

Shuttles will run approx. every 20 minutes from 11:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. The last Rockville Town Center pick-up going to RedGate Park is at 6 p.m.

Getting to the Shuttle From Metro

Exit the Metro and proceed across the pedestrian walkway toward Rockville Town Center and through The Promenade. At the end of the stairs, the shuttle will be on your right.

Getting to the Shuttle By Bike

Bike parking is available throughout Town Center. After locking up your bike, the shuttle is just a short walk.

Getting to the Shuttle By Car

Paid parking is available in Town Center garages or for free at Rockville City Hall. The shuttle is a short walk away.

Rideshare

Rideshare pickup and drop-off is at the Blair Ewing Center (14501 Avery Road). Use this address when requesting your ride.

Save on an Uber ride home from Hometown Holidays. Scan the QR code at a beverage booth or in the onsite guide and receive $10 off your ride home between 4-8 p.m. each day. Discount subject to change. This program is brought to you by the Rockville Recreation and Parks Foundation.

Biking

Bike parking is available in the front and rear of Lot P and at the 6 Taft Court festival entrance.

Interested in riding your bike to RedGate Park for Hometown Holidays, but not sure the best way to get there? This direct route connects the Rockville Metrorail Station with RedGate Park and follows the bicycle lanes on S. Stonestreet Avenue, the traffic-calmed and shared roadway on Baltimore Road, and the Carl Henn Millennium Trail.

Want to ride to Rockville's Hometown Holidays with your family?! There will be a family-friendly bike ride to RedGate Park starting at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 25. The ride will start from the east side of the Rockville Metro Station - the side with the Kiss and Ride - next to the bike racks. From there, it will be a 3 mile route along neighborhood roads to RedGate Park. Riders of all ages and abilities are welcome, including children who can ride on their own on the road or are riding on their parents' bikes. This ride is being led by a member of the Rockville Bicycle Advisory Committee and all young riders will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also riding. All riders must wear a bicycle helmet.
